Start of commissioning of the Monufia MSW facility Egypt
In recent months a lot of work has been done on the technical construction of the municipal solid waste facility in Monufia – Shibin al Kawm – Egypt. The line is now ready for the commissioning period and waste material test will be performed. The technology is supplied by Lubo Systems from Emmen – the Netherlands, and will be able to process 30 tons of waste per hour, making a distinction between organic waste; various types of plastics, metals and residual reusables. The sorted organic waste is produced; and sold as a by-product. The sorted waste streams are packaged and sold to hair-processing companies. The factory is the first of its kind in the region and a major contribution to improving the living conditions of the the city.
